As a generation of experts continues to retire from the energy industry, vital knowledge is lost. Moreover, the push towards a more responsible energy transition is calling for a diverse set of expertise. These changes in demographics, combined with the momentum behind a responsible energy transition, led to the formation of Jiva Consulting. Jiva is a Calgary-based consultancy focused on transferring this expertise to the next generation of industry professionals.
Since 2012, we have been combining technical expertise, educational knowledge, and communication skills to provide the energy industry with effective knowledge transfer solutions.
OUR PRESIDENT
President
Reena Sahney, P.Eng., MSc, MBA, has spent 25 years in the energy sector. She has worked internationally as an engineer and consultant, and has experience in power generation, oil sands, post-secondary education, and the pipeline sector. This varied work experience has enabled her to recognize and address the need for effective knowledge transfer in deeply technical fields.
As an author and innovator, her contribution to the energy industry has been recognized by peers and clients—she was the 2020 recipient of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) Foundation’s Outstanding Contribution & Achievement Award. She is passionate about embracing diversity in all its forms and, as the energy industry evolves, supporting a thoughtful, responsible energy transition.
