Jiva Consulting has been featured in the 2025 issue of The Locator, an annual publication that explores topics related to line locating and the damage prevention of underground infrastructure.
The article describes the journey of developing competency requirements for damage prevention practitioners in Canada. It also describes one of the ways the competency system can be used: developing effective, structured, and robust training aligned to competency requirements. The first online course, Responding to Unauthorized Activities, was a collaborative effort between three pipeline operating companies and Jiva Consulting, and aims to gain consensus on and document best practices present in the industry.
The article, and the entirety of the 2025 issue of The Locator, can be read via the CAPULC website.
Jiva would like to thank CAPULC for including Jiva and our work in the issue.
