Introducing Jiva’s new course: Damage Prevention Foundations

Strengthen your understanding of the range of functions required to protect the underground infrastructure we all rely on! Whether you're new to the field or a seasoned professional working in damage prevention or an adjacent role, this course clarifies how your role fits into the wider ecosystem for protecting underground infrastructure.

A distinctive feature of this course is its system view of damage prevention, setting it apart from role centric or excavation-focused training offerings. This course focuses on the broader damage-prevention system: who is involved, what is done, and how responsibilities connect across teams, companies, and the industry.

This course was built through a joint industry project between Canadian operating companies and provides a strong foundation of damage prevention concepts across industry sectors and roles.
This is the second course developed by this consortium in the area of damage prevention (the previous course was Responding to Unauthorized Activities).
